Javi Martinez BayernBayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez has revealed that he is set to resume full training in the next few days after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The 25-year-old picked up a groin injury in the opening exchanges and has been in the infirmary over the past six weeks.

He has now revealed that his rehabilitation is going as planned, meaning he should soon be returning into action for the Bavarians.

“The operation went well, and my rehab programme is on schedule,” the Spaniard told Bayern’s official website

“I’m back out on the pitch, getting through running and sprint exercises, and I’ll soon have the ball back at my feet.”

“I think – and I hope – I should be able to resume the team training programme step-by-step in the course of next week.

“We’re going to increase the training load over the next few days as we slowly but surely get back to 100 per cent, although we’re taking it very carefully so we avoid setbacks.”

Bayern Munich have enjoyed an excellent start to the new campaign and they are 2.30 (13/10) with Unibet to win domestic treble for the second year in a row.
