Hertha vs StuttgartHertha and Stuttgart will be out to make amends for the dismal start to the season when they square off at Olympiastadion in Berlin, with both sides sitting dangerously close to the bottom three.

The Old Lady enjoyed a very good season on their return to the elite division even if the poor finish of the league campaign saw them slip to 11th in the standings.

And while they saw Adrian Ramos, Pierre Lasogga and Samu Allagui leave, the club managed to sign some very good replacements.

The likes of Heitinga, Kalou, Beerens, Schieber, Hegeler, Cigerci and Stocker all joined the ranks, but the poor start of the new campaign is enough to suggest the team will need some time to gel.

Hertha managed to win just one of first six fixtures, while recording two more draws, but they are 2.40 (7/5) to return to winning ways against Stuttgart.

While there are no fresh injury worries for boss Jos Luhukay, Sebastian Langkamp, Alexander Baumjohan and Tolga Cigerci are still on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Kraft – N’Djeng, Heitinga, Lustenberger, Pekarik – Hosogai – Beerens, Ronny, Skjelbred, Haraguchi – Kalou.

Stuttgart have been unable to return to old glory days and the club are going through a very rough patch at the moment.

Rather than vying for European positions, the Swabians are very much involved in the relegation tussle and they currently sit just one point above the danger zone.

Once again, the club saw a number of first team regulars leave for greener pastures, while they could only sign Adam Hlousek, Filip Kostic and Oriol Romeu, hardly world-class players.

As a result, the Swabians largely struggled in the opening exchanges, losing three straight fixtures after the opening draw against Borussia M’gladbach, although they have since shown considerable improvement.

Stuttgart did well to earn a 2-2 draw at Borussia Dortmund despite squandering a two-goal lead before recording the first win of the campaign last weekend against Hannover.

And with the Swabians in much better mood than their next opponents, there may be some value in betting on away win at odds of 3.10 (21/10).

Important midfielder Daniel Didavi is likely to miss out with a thigh strain, while talented midfielder Robert Yalcin is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Kirschbaum – Klein, Schwaab, Rudiger, Sakai – Romeu, Gruezo – Leitner, Maxim, Gentner – Werner.
