Hart: England in it to win it

Manchester City keeper Joe Hart is adamant that England can go all the way to the European Championship title.

The Three Lions arrived to Poland and Ukraine in poor mood after Frank Lampard, Gareth Barry and Gary Cahill were ruled out through injury, but they, nonetheless, managed to win the first place in Group A.

England keeper Joe Hart explains that his fellow players will not settle for reaching the quarter-finals.

“The whole point in coming here is not to keep people happy and off our backs,” Hart said at a press conference. “We are here to win.”

“We are not those guys – we are winners. We want to be successful for ourselves and make English people proud of their team.

“We would like to leave here having given everything. Whether that makes people happy, or keeps people off our backs, whatever. Just as long (as) we know we have given everything.”

England face a tough task in the quarter-finals having been pitted against in-form Italy and they are 2.00 (1/1) with Stan James to qualify for the semis. The same bookmaker has them at 10.00 (9/1) to win the tournament.
