Germany vs ArgentinaWorld Cup holders Germany host Argentina at ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf in a repeat of the 2014 World Cup final as die Mannschaft prepare for the start of the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Meanwhile, los Albicelestes will try and get revenge on their rivals for the costly defeat at Maracana in Rio de Janeiro.

Following several narrow misses, Germany finally lifted the title at a major tournament as they enjoyed a stunning World Cup campaign.

Despite hammering hosts Brazil 7-1 in the semis, they had to work hard for a win in the final against Argentina, with Mario Gotze scoring an extra time winner.

Joachim Low has since seen Philipp Lahm, Per Mertesacker and Miroslav Klose retire from international duty, while Bastian Schweinsteiger misses out through injury.

Marco Reus, Mario Gomez and Antonio Rudiger have all earned recalls, while there are no other surprises in the squad for Argentina and Scotland games.

Mesut Ozil is set to miss the friendly game through an ankle problem, but he could play a part in the opening Euro 2016 qualifier.

Even if Joachim Low is widely tipped to field an under-strength side against los Albicelestes, Germany have been made 1.91 (10/11) favourites for the win.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Neuer – Boateng, Hummels, Ginter, Durm – Kroos, Khedira – Schurrle, Muller, Podolski – Gomez.

Argentina surprised everyone by reaching the 2014 World Cup final, but once they did it, los Albicelestes had a great chance to lift the coveted trophy.

Even with Angel Di Maria missing, Alejandro Sabella’s charges produced a very good performance and missed two glorious chances before Germany scored the winner.

Former Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino has since replaced Sabella in the dugout and there haven’t been too many surprises in his first squad.

Fernando Gago and Maxi Rodriguez have been left out, while Ricardo Alvarez returns, although it is important to note there is still no place for Carlos Tevez.

Lionel Messi, Rodrigo Palacio and Ezequiel Garay miss out through injury, with Erik Lamela and Nicolas Gaitan drafted into the squad.

Chances are the players will be looking to impress the new boss as well as try and get revenge on Germany, with away win paying 4.33 (10/3).

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Romero – Zabaleta, Fernandez, Demichelis, Rojo – Di Maria, Mascherano, Biglia – Aguero, Higuain, Lavezzi.
