FA-cup

Tomorrow’s match at Upton Park sees West Ham United face Everton in their FA Cup third round
replay.

The two sides drew 1-1 at Goodison Park the weekend before last, with Romelu Lukaku’s injury time equaliser cancelling out James Collins’ 56th minute opener and the winners of this tie will face either Doncaster Rovers or Bristol City in the next round a week on Sunday.

Sam Allardyce’s side have drawn their last three games 1-1, with league draws against West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City coming either side of that stalemate on Merseyside.

Alex Song looks set to miss the game through illness, while Diafre Sakho is side-lined with the back problem that saw him miss out on selection for Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations squad.

Andy Carroll, who has four goals in this last seven appearances is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 6.5 (11/2) to get the first goal of the game with a variety of firms, with Enner Valencia a 7.0 (6/1) chance with Ladbrokes.

The Hammers are 2.4 (7/5) with William Hill to win the match in ninety minutes, with Everton as highly priced as the 3.12 (85/40) on offer from Bet Victor, who have the draw at 3.5 (5/2).

The Toffees are without a win in six, but go in to this match on the back of Saturday’s respectable 1-1 draw with Premier League champions Manchester City.

Manager Roberto Martinez has a number of injury concerns, with the Spaniard still unable to call upon first choice goalkeeper Tim Howard, defenders Sylvain Distin and Tony Hibbert and midfielders James McCarthy, Steven Pienaar, Leon Osman and Darron Gibson.

Top scorer Romelu Lukaku is widely available at 7.5 (13/2) to open the scoring ahead of fellow Belgium international Kevin Mirallas, who is an 11.0 (10/1) shot with a number of bookmakers.

Both teams have scored in eleven of the last thirteen meetings between these two sides, so you may be tempted to take advantage of 888 Sport’s offer of 1.75 (3/4) for them to do so this time around.
