Spain vs UkraineNew-look Spain did not have the best of starts to the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, and they will want to improve their chances of reaching the tournament finals by defeating Ukraine.

Despite the difficult situation in the country, the Eastern European side won three of first four matches, but it is the clash at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan that will be the perfect test to their qualifying hopes.

It was hardly surprising to see Vicente Del Bosque introduce some new players after the embarrassing exit from the 2014 World Cup, and the boss has since seriously rejuvenated his side.

That did take its toll on the results, as La Furia Roja were beaten by group leaders Slovakia, while also losing friendlies against France and Germany.

Nevertheless, Spain won the remaining three group matches with ease and can now make a big step towards a top two finish by defeating Ukraine.

La Furia Roja will not have an easy job against their rivals for a place at the tournament finals, but they have been made 1.33 (1/3) favourites to claim maximum points.

Vicente Del Bosque surprised everyone by calling Malaga hotshot Juanmi to replace the injured Diego Costa, meaning Alvaro Morata is almost certain to start up front.

Sergio Busquets has recovered from an ankle injury and he is widely expected to take his place in the centre of the park.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Casillas – Juanfran, Pique, Ramos, Alba – Busquets, Koke – Iniesta, Fabregas, Isco – Morata.

Ukraine have established themselves as one of Europe’s top sides over the years and they were incredibly close to reaching the 2014 World Cup finals having narrowly lost the play-off clash to France.

The national team have done brilliantly since Mikhail Fomenko took over the reigns, and they are determined to qualify for the Euro 2016 finals.

The qualifying campaign did not start well as Ukraine suffered home loss to Slovakia despite completely outplaying the opposition, but they were soon rewarded for promising performances.

Mikhail Fomenko’s charges recorded comfortable wins over Belarus, FYR Macedonia and Luxembourg to revive their qualifying hopes and now face a very important clash with Spain.

The likes of Andriy Yarmolenko and Yevhen Konoplyanka, who are followed by top European sides, could prove a handful for opposition defenders, so bear in mind both teams to score bet pays 2.38 (11/8).

Coach Fomenko was able to call his best players for the high-profile encounter, although Serhiy Sydorchuk was forced to withdraw.

Veteran midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk keeps his place in the side, and he is expected to start at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Pyatov – Fedetskiy, Rakitskiy, Khacheridi, Shevchuk – Stepanenko, Tymoshchuk, Rotan – Yarmolenko, Zozulya, Konoplyanka.
