Norway vs SwedenArguably the most interesting tie in the Euro 2016 playoffs will see neighbours Sweden and Denmark battle each other for a place at the tournament finals.

And while Blagult have got Zlatan, The Olsen Gang boast a very good team whereas Nicklas “Lord” Bendtner is just the first among equals.

Sweden have been regular at the European Championship finals of late, reaching the semi-final on home soil in 1992, before making it to four straight tournament starting from 2000.

But, their performances at tournament finals were far from impressive and this is probably the final chance for Blagult to take advantage of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s talent and try to live up to the billing at the biggest stage.

Sweden clearly missed the opportunity to secure an automatic qualifying berth as back to back defeats to Russia and Austria meaning they had to settle for a third-place finish.

Blagult now need to try and beat neighbours Denmark if they want to spend next summer in France, with home win paying 2.40 (7/5) in the first leg.

The hosts will have to make do without Albin Ekdal and Pontus Wernbloom, who miss out through injury, with few more back-up players unavailable.

Meanwhile, Kim Kallstrom and Oscar Lewicki have recovered from their respective problems and they look set to form the midfield pairing for the second straight game.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Isaksson – Lustig, Granqvist, Antonsson, Martin Olsson – Durmaz, Lewicki, Kalsstrom, Forsberg – Ibrahimovic, Berg.

Since lifting the European Championships title in Sweden in 1992, Denmark have qualified for four of next five tournaments, but only once managed to negotiate their way from the group stage.

Meanwhile, the Danes haven’t had too much success at the World Cup finals either, and that is probably why the national team chiefs have decided not to offer coach Morten Olsen a new deal, meaning that iconic manager will soon end a 16-year spell in charge of the national team.

The players led by captain Daniel Agger have voiced their discontent with the national team bosses and no doubts they will give their best to give Olsen something to cheer about by qualifying for the Euro 2016.

That will be no easy task with neighbours Sweden on the other side, but bear in mind that Denmark are 2.00 (1/1) to qualify.

Morten Olsen has handed a recall to Ajax hotshot Viktor Fischer, but Andreas Bjelland, Alexander Scholz and Nicolai Boilesen remain on the sidelines.

Leon Andreasen and Pione Sisto were forced to withdraw, with Thomas Delaney, Rasmus Falk and Morten Rasmussen drafted into the squad.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Schmeichel – Jacobsen, Kjaer, Agger, S. Poulsen – Kvist – Braithwaite, Wass, Krohn-Dehli, Eriksen – Bendtner.
