Sweden vs DenmarkA late goal scored by Nicolai Jorgensen gave Denmark a realistic hope of turning the tie around after Sweden had scored two goals either side of the half-time break.

Blagult remain in the driving seat after the 2-1 victory at Friends Arena, but Morten Olsen’s charges are well aware that even a 1-0 win would see them qualify.

Denmark headed into the Euro 2016 play-offs in poor spirits having failed to win any of their previous four matches and not registering a single goal in last three qualifiers.

Legendary coach Morten Olsen sprung a couple of surprises with his starting line-up introducing Viktor Fischer and Thomas Kahlenberg to the side, but that did not prove a good decision.

And while the Ajax starlet did show some promise, his fellow midfielder was largely disappointing, committing a stupid penalty to gift Sweden a 2-0 lead.

But, Morten Olsen then pulled some right moves as his substitutes all performed admirably, with Yussuf Poulsen and Nicolai Jorgensen combining to make it 2-1 late in the game.

The goal puts Denmark into a much better position as they are now 2.50 (3/2) with BetVictor to qualify for the Euro 2016 finals.

The boss has no fresh injury worries, but everything suggests that the trio that come off the bench will now be awarded places in the starting XI.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Schmeichel – Jacobsen, Kjaer, Agger, Durmisi – Kvist – Y. Poulsen, Hojbjerg, Eriksen, Jorgensen – Bendtner.

Sweden came really close to making a mess out of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, having surrendered the second place in the group to Russia.

Blagult were somewhat unfortunate to be pitted against neighbours Denmark in the play-offs, but they performed really well for the big part of the first leg in Solna.

Even with Marcus Berg missing a couple of great chances to score, Sweden broke the deadlock when the impressive Emil Forsberg gave Kasper Schmeichel no chance of saving his accurate shot, and there was even more to come from the Leipzig winger.

The 24-year-old was brought down in the penalty area just minutes after the half-time break, allowing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score his ninth goal in as many qualifiers.

But, Sweden were later punished for letting their guard down and now take a one-goal deficit to the return leg at Parken.

Blagult, nonetheless, remain 1.67 (2/3) favourites to make it through, although they will have to make do without Mikael Antonsson, who suffered a groin injury in the first leg.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Isaksson – Lustig, Granqvist, Johansson, Martin Olsson – Durmaz, Lewicki, Kalsstrom, Forsberg – Ibrahimovic, Berg.
