England celebrateIt has just been confirmed that England have missed out on top seeds for the World Cup draw despite climbing seven places in the FIFA rankings.

FIFA have just released their latest rankings list that will be used to determine the seeded teams for the World Cup draw.

And even if the Three Lions have moved up seven places to number 10, they will find themselves in pot two, meaning one of world powerhouses will be drawn alongside them.

Pot one contains hosts Brazil, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Belgium, Switzerland and either Netherlands or Uruguay.

La Celeste will be in pot one if they manage to win the play-off clash against Jordan, but if they lose, their place will be occupied by the Netherlands.

As far as European play-off draw is concerned, Portugal, Greece, Croatia and Ukraine have been seeded and they will be pitted against France, Sweden, Romania and Iceland.

England harbour high hopes ahead of the 2014 World Cup after impressing against Montenegro and Poland in their last two qualifiers and there will be quite a few punters taking odds of 26.00 (25/1) for the Three Lions to go all the way.
