Dortmund vs GladbachThe first match of round 29 in German Bundesliga will see out-of-form Eintracht Frankfurt attempt to keep their European hopes alive by defeating high-flying Borussia.

Die Fohlen virtually secured Champions League qualification over the last few weeks, but they also want to pip Bayer Leverkusen to the third place in the standings.

Eintracht Frankfurt chiefs can be quite happy with how the current season has panned out, seeing as the team sit in the top half of the standings with six games to go.

The Eagles have all but secured Bundesliga survival, but they still have a chance to make it to Europa League, seeing as they trail sixth-placed Augsburg mere four points.

Eintracht did suffer a dip in form after hammering Paderborn at home, having taken just one point from matches with Stuttgart, Hannover and Bayern Munich.

And they could now face a very difficult task against red-hot Borussia, so no wonder that home win pays 4.10 (31/10) at 888sport.

Bundesliga top scorer Alexander Meier misses out with a knee problem, while midfielder Marc Stendera is banned after picking up five yellow cards.

Aleksandar Ignjovski is expected to take his place in the side, but Carlos Zambrano and Marco Russ continue to miss out.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Trapp – Chandler, Madlung, Anderson, Oczipka – Ignjovski, Hasebe – Aigner, Kittel, Seferovic – Valdez.

Borussia M’gladbach didn’t do all too well in Cup competitions this season, crashing out in the Last 16 stage of Europa League, while also missing out on DFB Pokal semis by losing to third division side Armenia Bielefeld.

However, die Fohlen are unlikely to be concerned by that fact seeing as how they have been absolutely amazing in the Bundesliga campaign.

Champions League qualification is already in the bag given that Borussia hold a 12-point advantage over fifth-placed Schalke with six games to go, but Lucian Favre’s charges cannot afford to relax just yet.

Die Fohlen need to pip Bayer Leverkusen to a third-place finish if they want to make it to Champions League group stages and they are in the driving seat at the moment.

With last week’s 3-1 triumph over Borussia Dortmund their fourth in a row, Gladbach look a good bet to see off Eintracht as well at 2.10 (11/10).

Important midfielder Christoph Kramer is back from suspension, but Martin Stranzl is not yet ready to return from a knee problem.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Sommer – Jantschke, Brouwers, Dominguez, Wendt – Kramer, Xhaka – Herrmann, Raffael, Johnson – Kruse.
