Having recorded two disappointing draws at the start of their Copa America campaign, Argentina have got to win this game in order to go through, whereas Costa Rica need one point to clinch the place in the quarter-finals.

While none of the tournament favourites have impressed at the start of the 2011 Copa America, we can safely say that Argentina have been the biggest disappointment of the tournament.

The standard of their performances in draws against Bolivia and Colombia was simply not good enough and Sergio Batista is aware he needs to shake up his team as soon as possible.

Once again, Argentina are considered favourites to win the game, but considering their recent showings, there is absolutely no value in odds of 1.22 (2/9) offered by Bet365 on home win.

According to the latest reports, coach Batista is set to ring big changes to the starting line-up, with Tevez, Lavezzi, Cambiasso and Banega all set to be relegated to the bench.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Romero – Zabaleta, Buridsso, Milito, Zanetti – Gago, Mascherano – Aguero, Messi, Di Maria – Higuain.

Considering that they had arrived to Argentina with an Under-22 side, Costa Rica were not given big chances to progress from this group.

Nonetheless, the young Ticos played pretty well in their opening game against Colombia, but the red card Randall Brenes picked up just before the half-hour mark prevented them from showing their full potential.

However, Ricardo La Volpe’s men surprised Bolivia in their second group game and recorded a very important win that significantly increased their chances of making the quarter-finals.

Costa Rica are now brimming with confidence before the match with struggling Argentina side, and Ticos are 4.50 (7/2) with Paddy Power not to lose the game.

Coach La Volpe has already announced that Jose Miguel Cubero will replace suspended David Guzman, whereas Randall Brenes is expected to return to the side from suspension.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Moreira – Acosta, Duarte, Calvo – Salvatierra, Leal, Cubero, Mora, Madrigal – Campbell, Brenes.
