Uruguay could welcome back veteran defender Andres Scott following a one match suspension that saw him miss Wednesday’s defeat to hosts Brazil.

Coach Oscar Tabarez must decide whether or not to stick with attacking trio Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan, who all started last time out.

Italy, who lost on penalties to Spain on Thursday evening, could be without Alberto Gilardino, after the Bologna striker picked up a knock in that game.

With Mario Balotelli already having to returned to Italy, Stephan El Shaaraway could well start up-front for the first time in the competition.

The Milan striker is 9.0 (8/1) with a variety of firms to get the first of the game, with Claudio Marchisio widely available at 15.0 (14/1).

In the four times these sides have faced each other, both have won once, with the other two games ending all square.

The last meeting was in a friendly just over eighteen months ago, when Sebastian Fernandez hit the only goal in a 1-0 win for the South Americans.

There has never been more than two goals scored in this fixture, and you can get a price of 2.10 (11/10) from a number of bookmakers for under 2.5 this time around.

However, the last 3rd and 4th place play of in this competition saw no fewer than four goals between Spain and South Africa, with the Spaniards eventually winning 3-2 after extra time.
