Brazil arrive to Argentina as the Copa America defending champions, but for the first time in quite a while Selecao are not considered tournament favourites.

The leading online bookmakers see hosts Argentina as the number one favourites, but Brazil players are, nevertheless, in confident mood before their opening game against Venezuela.

Coach Mano Menezes has got a pretty inexperienced squad at his disposal, but one of the youngsters, Milan’s Pato believes Brazil have a good chance of winning the tournament.

“We all know that Argentina is the majority’s favorite, because it’s their home, and this places a lot of pressure on the team, but we also know that Brazil is prepared.

“Argentina and Brazil are the strongest teams” Alexandre Pato said at a news conference.

Liverpool midfielder Lucas says that this team need time to grow.

“It is about forming group of experienced players and other young people who want to keep Brazil at its best. But to form a team like this we need time and training.”

Brazil are hot favourites to win their opening game against Venezuela, being priced 1.20 (1/5) with Bet365, whereas Selecao are 3.00 (2/1) with Paddy Power to defend the Copa America title.
