Gladbach vs BayernBundesliga action resumes with the clash between high-flying Borussia M’Gladbach and reigning champions and league leaders Bayern Munich.

Lucian Favre has done the unthinkable and transformed die Fohlen from relegation strugglers into Champions League hopefuls, and while many believed the uptrend in fortunes would be short-lived, that did not prove to be the case.

Borussia M’Gladbach recovered well from the somewhat disappointing season last term, and they have been absolutely brilliant in the current Bundesliga campaign.

Die Fohlen ended the first part of the season with an eight-match unbeaten run (W6 D2), thus climbing to the third place in the standings.

Lucien Favre and his men are now determined to keep their Champions League bid alive, and 8-1-0 home record certainly gives them reason for optimism ahead of the clash with Bayern Munich.

And while backing Borussia to win the high-profile clash would be a gamble, betting on both teams to score at 1.75 (3/4) needs to be considered.

Boss Favre has no fresh injury worries, but defenders Tony Jantschke and Roel Brouwers continue to miss out through injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): ter Stegen – Korb, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt – Kraner, Xhaka – Herrmann, Raffael, Arango – Kruse.

Even if Bayern had a somewhat slow start under Pep Guardiola, the Bavarians quickly returned to the right track and have been pretty impressive ever since.

While they eased off to the Champions League knockout stages, where they will again meet Arsenal, the Alianz Arena outfit also won the Club World Cup and opened up a seven-point lead in Bundesliga.

Seeing as how they also have a game in hand, we can safely say the Bavarians will be lifting the league title come end of season.

Bayern’s preparations for the season finale have suffered a serious blow as they lost 3-0 to Red Bull Salzburg, but Pep Guardiola’s men will be out to prove that was just a one-off result.

Having defeated Borussia M’Gladbach 3-1 on the opening day of the season, the Bavarians are 1.40 (2/5) to win in Monchengladbach as well.

While Holger Badstuber, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Daniel van Buyten remain sidelined, Philipp Lahm is doubtful through a knee problem.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Neuer – Rafinha, Boateng, Dante, Alaba – Lahm – Muller, Thiago, Kroos, Ribery – Mandzukic.
