Turkish giants Besiktas have announced the signing of Portuguese defender Pepe from Real Madrid.
The 34-year-old arrives on a free transfer, but the length of his contract in Turkey was not disclosed.
According to reports, Pepe was on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain and even had a medical in France, before deciding to sign for Besiktas instead.
The veteran defender left Real Madrid after ten years as he was not offered a new contract, and chances are he will finish his career in Turkey.
During the lengthy spell with los Blancos, Pepe won 3 La Liga trophies and as many Champions League titles.
Pepe is currently on vacation after helping Portugal secure a third-place finish at the 2017 Confederations Cup.
