Tottenham vs DniproJuande Ramos was able to exact revenge on his former employers with his Dnipro winning the first leg 1-0, meaning Tottenham now need to work hard to overturn the deficit and qualify for the next phase.

After experiencing all sorts of problems under Andre Villas-Boas, Spurs have shown a great deal of improvement since Tim Sherwood took over, but they now find themselves in a difficult situation.

Back to back triumphs over Everton and Newcastle saw Tottenham revive their top 4 bid, but the 1-0 defeat to struggling Norwich seriously hurt their Champions League ambitions.

And with Spurs previously losing to Dnipro in the Europa League, they desperately need a morale-boosting win to return to the right track.

This is likely to see Tim Sherwood field a strong side in the second leg against the Ukrainians, with Spurs priced at 2.00 (1/1) to qualify.

Brazilian midfielder Sandro is likely to be in contention having resumed full training, but Jermain Defoe won’t be risked as he carries a hamstring problem and is nearing a switch to Toronto FC.

Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches remain on the sidelines, whereas Etienne Capoue has picked up an ankle problem.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Friedel – Naughton, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose – Eriksen, Bentaleb, Paulinho – Townsend, Soldado, Chadli.

Dnipro have established themselves as one of Ukraine’s top sides under Juande Ramos and they are also proving their worth in Europe.

The team won four of six group games to qualify for the Europa League knockout stages, although they were somewhat unfortunate to be pitted against Premier League giants Tottenham.

And with their domestic season not resuming before the start of March, Dnipro were not given big chances to spring a surprise against Spurs.

Nevertheless, Juande Ramos’ men produced a very good performance in the first leg, winning the game 1-0 and missing few more good chances to score.

As a result, they arrive at White Hart Lane in great spirits and are available at 2.00 (1/1) to pip their more illustrious opponents to a place in the Last 16 stage.

With no fresh selection worries to report, Juande Ramos is widely tipped to field an unchanged side to that which faced Tottenham seven days ago.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Boyko – Fedetskiy, Mazuch, Cheberyachko, Strinic – Kankava, Rotan – Zozulya, Giuliano, Konoplyanka – Matheus.
