Lyon vs Real BetisInjury-hit Lyon will be hoping to make amends for the defeat to rivals Saint Etienne when they host Italian giants Juventus, but that is easier said than done.

The Bianconeri have just ended a 14-match unbeaten run, but they are still regarded as favourites to win at Stade Gerland.

French giants Lyon have been on a major downtrend of late, and they are now in danger of missing out on European qualification altogether.

After showing some improvement midway through the season, Remi Garde’s charges have suffered a new dip in form, losing three of their last four fixtures in all competitions.

And while the 2-1 defeat to Viktoria Plzen did not prove costly as the team had won the first leg 4-1, league losses to Monaco and Saint Etienne are definitely a cause for concern.

To make matters worse, Remi Garde had some important players pick up injuries in the process, meaning he faces a real selection headache ahead of the Juventus game.

And taking into account Lyon’s current form, it is hardly surprising les Gones are no less than 5.50 (9/2) to qualify for the semi-finals.

Yoann Gourcuff is the latest casualty having picked up an injury against Saint Etienne, whilst Miguel Lopes and Gueida Fofana are definitely out.

Samuel Umtiti, Milan Bisevac and Clement Grenier are major injury doubts and they look set to miss the first leg.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): A. Lopes – Zeffane, Gonalons, Kone, Bedimo – Malbranque, Ferri, Tolisso – Danic – Lacazette, Gomis.

Having suffered a disappointing exit from the Champions League, Juventus have no choice but to try and win the Europa League trophy.

Despite losing to Napoli at the weekend, the Bianconeri remain hot favourites to win the third successive league trophy, meaning they can fully focus on the Lyon clash.

And with Antonio Conte and his men eager to make amends for the weekend’s loss at Stadio San Paolo, they look a good bet at 1.73 (8/11).

It may be important to note that Juventus had won five straight matches on the road without conceding prior to the Napoli defeat, so away win to nil needs to be considered at 2.75 (7/4).

For the first time in this year’s competition, Antonio Conte looks set to field his strongest line-up, with Carlos Tevez to be recalled after recovering from injury.

Andrea Barzagli, Angelo Ogbonna and Federico Peluso miss out through injury, whilst Arturo Vidal is suspended for the clash at Stade Gerland.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Buffon – Caceres, Bonucci, Chiellini – Lichtsteiner, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah – Llorente, Tevez.
