John Terry injuryChelsea captain John Terry has admitted he could miss Europa League final against Benfica through an ankle problem.

The experienced defender picked up an ankle injury in the weekend’s match against Aston Villa and he is now a major doubt for the all-important clash at Amsterdam ArenA.

John Terry is awaiting scan on the injured ankle and he doesn’t know whether he will recover in time to start against Benfica.

“It is my ankle. I’m going to get it scanned. I don’t know if I’ll be fit for Wednesday at the moment,” Terry told Daily Mirror.

The 32-year-old missed last year’s Champions League final through suspension and he is obviously keen on making his appearance in Amsterdam.

Chelsea are 1.67 (2/3) favourites with SkyBet to lift the trophy and 2.50 (3/2) with BetVictor to win in regular time.
