Fenerbahce escaped defeat to Zorya by scoring deep into injury time, but they face another difficult task against high-flying Feyenoord.

The De Kuip outfit have won nine games in a row on all fronts and they arrive at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium brimming with confidence.

There has been plenty of turmoil at Fenerbahce at the start of the new season, and coach Vitor Pereira ultimately paid the price after the team were eliminated from the Champions League.

His replacement Dick Advocaat did well to steer the Canaries into the Europa League group stages, recording a 5-0 aggregate win over Grasshopper, but the start of the new league campaign has been quite disappointing.

Fenerbahce picked up just one point from first three Super Lig fixtures, but they have since showed decent improvement.

The Europa League draw with Zorya appears to have been the turning point as Simon Kjaer scored a very late goal to secure a 1-1 stalemate, and the Canaries then went on to record league wins over Kasimpasa and Gaziantepspor, meaning they head into the Feyenoord clash in good spirits.

Summer recruits Gregory van der Wiel and Martin Skrtel are both expected to start, while Emmanuel Emenike keeps his place up front.

Roman Neustadter and Miroslav Stoch will have to settle for a place on the bench, but Robin van Persie is unlikely to start having just returned from injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Demirel – van der Wiel, Kjaer, Skrtel, Kaldirim – Tufan, Topal, Souza – Lens, Emenike, Sen.

Feyenoord have been one of Europe’s in-form sides at the beginning of the new season and they are showing no signs of slowing down.

There have been no notable signings at De Kuip apart from the arrival of forward Nicolai Jorgensen, who has made instant impact in the Netherlands.

The 25-year-old took over from Michiel Kramer as club’s first choice striker and he has already bagged 8 goals in all competitions.

Meanwhile, captain Dirk Kuyt, Eljero Elia, Karim El Ahmadi and Jens Toornstra have all chipped in as Feyenoord went on to win nine straight matches after the Dutch Super Cup defeat.

Considering that they have also defeated Manchester United in Europa League, Feyenoord look a good bet at 3.75 (11/4) to make it ten on the bounce.

Eljero Elia, Keneth Vermeer, Sven van Beek and Warner Hahn remain on the sidelines, but there are no fresh worries for Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Jones – Karsdorp, Botteghin, van der Heijden, Kongolo – El Ahmadi, Kuyt, Vilhena – Berghuis, Jorgensen, Toornstra.
