Christian MaggioMedia reports coming out of Italy are suggesting Napoli defender Christian Maggio could miss the Europa League clash against FC Porto.

The highly rated full-back was not on the pitch as the Azzurri held the final training session ahead of the game at Estadio do Dragao.

Maggio had picked up a knock in training on Tuesday and is now rated doubtful for tonight’s match against the Portuguese giants.

In case the Italy international fails to recover in time, veteran defender Anthony Reveillere will take his place on the right.

Toni Doblas and Jorginho are ineligible, whereas Camilo Zuniga, Rafael Cabral and Giandomenico Mesto remain in the infirmary.

Napoli may have struggled in their previous European fixture on the road, having produced a poor performance in the goalless draw against Swansea, but they have since seriously raised their form.

And following weekend’s triumph over second-placed Roma, Rafael Benitez’s charges are 3.40 (12/5) to defeat Porto at Estadio do Dragao.
