Borussia M'gladbach vs SevillaThe ball is in Borussia’s court after the Europa League holders enjoyed a 1-0 triumph at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, with die Fohlen in a difficult position.

Los Rojiblancos made a giant step towards the next stage with a narrow win in Spain, but they obviously cannot afford to relax just yet.

Borussia M’gladbach have been one of Germany’s star performers in recent years and they are in a good position to make this season a success as well.

Die Fohlen currently occupy the third position in the Bundesliga standings and have a good chance to secure Champions League qualification, while they also made it to the DFB Pokal Last 16 Stage.

Borussia did really well to top the Europa League group that also contained Villarreal, Zurich and Apollon, but they were unfortunate to be pitted against the reigning champions in the first knockout stage.

Even so, Lucien Favre’s charges showed some promise in the first leg and are available at 2.40 (7/5) to win the return match at Borussia Park.

Winger Andre Hahn made a long-awaited return from injury at the weekend, but he will probably be rested against Sevilla.

The likes of Hazard, Johnson, Traore and Hrgota are all expected to come in as Lucien Favre plans to make changes to his starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Sommer – Jantschke, Stranzl, Dominguez, Wendt – Kramer, Xhaka – Hazard, Raffael, Johnson – Hrgota.

The Europa League holders have been quite successful on all fronts this season, although they were eliminated from Copa del Rey.

Team’s league campaign and the race for Champions League positions remains the priority, although los Rojiblancos are slowly moving away from top 4 places.

Three defeats in last four league fixtures allowed their rivals Valencia to open up a five-point lead, meaning Unai Emery’s men now face a difficult task.

This is precisely why Sevilla also hope to do well in Europa League since winning the trophy ensures Champions League qualification from this year on.

And having done well to defeat Borussia in the first leg, los Rojiblancos have been made 1.30 (3/10) favorites to progress to the next stage.

Unai Emery is set to ring changes after the disappointing 4-3 loss at Anoeta, with Grzegorz Krychowiak back from suspension and Nico Pareja returning from injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Sergio Rico – Figueiras, Pareja, Carrico, Navarro – Krychowiak, Iborra – Vitolo, Banega, Reyes – Bacca.
