Yaya SanogoPremier League strugglers Crystal Palace have completed the loan signing of Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo, it has been revealed.

The Gunners were looking to farm out the youngster on loan in order to help him gain some much needed first team experience and he was on the verge of joining Bordeaux a week ago.

Nevertheless, Arsene Wenger wanted Sanogo to remain in English Premier League and has now allowed the forward to join Crystal Palace.

New Eagles manager Alan Pardew is happy with his first signing and hopes Sanogo will be able to make instant impact.

“He’s a young player with tremendous promise,” said Pardew. “He is somebody that I have tracked personally and this club has too so that fitted well.”

“We have given him an opportunity. He needs to play more games and I think he’s ready for that and he proved that at Arsenal. It’s tough to get in their team but he’s closer to the starting action with us.”

The former Newcastle boss did well to start his new job with back to back wins over Dover Athletic and Tottenham Hotspur, with the Eagles now 1.40 (2/5) to beat the drop.
