Premier League

Friday night’s Premier League action comes from Molineux where Wolverhampton Wanderers take on leaders Liverpool.

After ending November with a sixth consecutive game without victory, the hosts have won all three of their games this month – form which sees them sitting in seventh place.

They will leapfrog Manchester United should they avoid defeat here, though the Red Devils will have the chance to tighten their grip on sixth place when they take on Cardiff City on Saturday – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first match in charge.

Wolves will be without forward Diogo Jota, who was substituted in last weekend’s win over Bournemouth with a hamstring problem though Nuno Espirito Santo has no other fresh injury concerns.

Raul Jiminez is 11.0 (10/1) to get the first goal of the game with Paddy Power, with Ruben Neves a 18.0 (17/1) chance with Bet Victor.

The home win is as highly priced as the 7.0 (6/1) on offer from Betfair with the visitors favourites at a widely available at 1.57 (4/7). The draw can be backed at 4.2 (16/5) with several bookmakers.

Liverpool maintained their unbeaten start to the league season by beating rivals Manchester United 3-1 at Anfield last time out – their sixth straight league triumph.

Victory here will see them extend their lead at the summit though anything less will give champions Manchester City the chance to reclaim top spot when they face Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The game is likely to come to soon for Trent Alexander-Arnold, though James Milner could feature after he missed out last weekend due to a minor muscle injury.

Mo Salah is favourite to open the scoring at 4.33 (10/3), ahead of 6.0 (5/1) chance Sadio Mane.

The last time these two sides faced each other, it was Wolves who caused an upset with the then Championship side knocking the Merseyside outfit out of the FA Cup in the fourth round two seasons ago.

However, the last league meeting was a different story – the Reds triumphing 3-0 in the Midlands almost nine years ago.

With Jurgen Klopp’s side in such stunning form, you may be tempted to back them to net at least three this time around at 2.88 (15/8) with Sky Bet.
