Premier League Trophy

Leicester City, Burnley and Queens Park Rangers are just two weeks away from kicking off their first season back in the top flight and in the eyes of the bookmakers all three sides are in for a tough campaign.

The Foxes, who won the Championship title by nine points back in May, begin at home against an Everton side who finished just shy of the Champions League last time around.

Nigel Pearson’s men are priced at 3.25 (9/4) with Ladbrokes to take all three points on the opening day, while with matches against Chelsea and Arsenal coming up in August, Sky Bet offer a massive 126.0 (125/1) for them win their first three games of the season.

They are widely available at 1.36 (4/11) to stay up, and 2.1 (11/10) with a variety of firms to finish higher than both Burnley and QPR.

Burnley, who have previously had just a single season in the Premier League, finished in the second automatic promotion after an impressive campaign under Sean Dyche.

They have the arduous task of hosting title favourites Chelsea in their first game of the season, and are available at a huge price of 9.0 (8/1) with a variety of bookmakers to secure an unlikely win.

They then travel to Swansea City before welcoming Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United to Turf Moor, and Sky Bet offer 151.0 (150/1) to take maximum points in August.

They are the only side in the division who aren’t odds on with the bookmakers to retain their top fight status, with a price of 2.38 (11/8) available for them to stay up while they are 5.5 (9/2) with William Hill to be the highest placed newly promoted team.

QPR needed the play-offs to book an immediate return to the top table of English football, beating Derby County in the final at Wembley back in May.

With home matches against Hull City and Sunderland either side of a trip to manager Harry Redknapp’s former club Tottenham Hotspur, they certainly have the most favourable start of the three newcomers.

They are 2.5 (6/4) with Stan James to start the season with a victory, and 23.0 (22/1) with Sky Bet to finish August with three wins from three.

Ladbrokes offer 1.44 (4/9) for them to avoid relegation, while they are 2.63 (13/8) with Bet 365 to finish above both of the sides who were promoted with them.
