WIlfried BonyLiverpool are stepping up their efforts to lure Swansea striker Wilfried Bony to Anfield, according to the latest reports.

The Reds are on the lookout for a new striker after cashing in on Luis Suarez and they seem to have turned their attention towards the Ivorian forward.

Liverpool had an initial £12.5 million bid rejected for Bony, but they are reportedly readying a new proposal worth £15 million plus numerous add ons.

And while Swansea are holding out for £19 million, chances are they will seriously consider the latest offer from Anfield.

The good news is Bony can still be backed at 2.20 (6/5) with Ladbrokes to join Liverpool in the summer transfer window, while most other bookmakers have seriously slashed the odds following the latest developments.

The Ivory Coast international had a slow start to his career in England, but he quickly rediscovered his scoring form and went on to bag 17 goals in 34 Premier League matches.

He has caught the eye of England’s top clubs in the process and now looks set to leave Liberty Stadium for greener pastures.
