West Ham United vs Liverpool Preview

Saturday’s Premier League action concludes at the London Stadium where West Ham United face Liverpool.

The hosts were moments away from victory last weekend only for Wilfried Zaha to score an equaliser deep into injury time to give Crystal Palace a share of the spoils and leave the Hammers dangerously close to the drop zone.

They go into the weekend just a point clear of the bottom three and could have even dropped below the dotted line come kick-off depending on the days earlier kick-offs.

Defensive duo Winston Reid and Aaron Cresswell are both likely to be fit for the game though Michail Antonio, Sam Byram, Jose Fonte and James Collins are all injured and Pablo Zabaletta is suspended.

Javier Hernandez is priced at 9.0 (8/1) to get the first goal of the game with Bet 365 with Andy Carroll a 9.5 (17/2) shot with a variety of firms.

The home win is as highly priced as the 5.5 (9/2) on offer from Unibet with the visitors favourites at 1.67 (4/6) with most bookmakers. The draw is widely available at 4.33 (10/3).

Jurgen Klopp’s men thumped Huddersfield Town by three goals to nil last time out in the league while they followed that up by beating Maribor by the same scoreline in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Victory here would see the Reds move level on points with Chelsea and Arsenal, with none of the five sides currently above them in the table playing until Sunday.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be handed his first Premier League start for Liverpool with Georginio Wijnaldum a doubt with an ankle problem while Philippe Coutinho is missing with a thigh injury but Sadio Mane could be among the substitutes.

Roberto Firmino is 4.3 (43/10) to open the scoring with Unibet with Mo Salah a 6.0 (5/1) chance with Sky Bet.

Liverpool ran out 4-0 winners in last season’s corresponding fixture, five months after the sides played out a 2-2 draw at Anfield and you can back there being four or more goals this time around at a price of 2.75 (7/4) with Betfair.
