Saturday’s Premier League action kicks off at Upton Park when West Ham United host rivals Crystal Palace.

The Hammers are still on the fringes of a European qualification place, though there are seven points between themselves and fifth place Southampton.

They threw away a two goal lead to only draw with seventh place Tottenham Hotspur last time out, and victory here would see them move to within two points of Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who themselves will be turning their attention to Sunday’s League Cup final against Chelsea.

Manager Sam Allardyce is likely to have Enner Valencia and top scorer Diafra Sakho leading the line, with fellow forwards Andy Carroll and Carlton Cole his only injury concerns.

Sakho is favourite to open the scoring at 6.5 (11/2) with Coral with Mark Noble, fresh from signing a new contract with the club, a 15.0 (14/1) chance with the same firm.

The home win is available at 2.1 (11/10) with Betfred, with the visitors as highly priced as the 4.0 (3/1) on offer from Bet Victor. The draw is widely available at 3.5 (5/2).

Palace lost to Arsenal last weekend to leave them just five points clear of the bottom three, and victory here will see them leapfrog Everton into twelfth place, with the Toffee’s not playing Arsenal until Sunday afternoon.

James McCarthur may be fit in time to feature for Alan Pardew’s side, though fellow midfielders Jerome Thomas and John Williams and forwards Yaya Sanogo, Marouane Chamakh and Frazier Campbell all miss out.

Dwight Gayle is priced at 11.0 (10/1) to get the first goal of the game with Betfair, ahead of captain Mile Jedinak who is a 17.0 (16/1) shot with the same firm.

West Ham won by three goals to one when the sides met at Selhurst Park though it was the Eagles who emerged victorious in last season’s corresponding fixture.

You can bet on both teams to score at 1.92 (37/40) with Bet Victor, while as five of the last seven clashes between the sides have featured fewer than two goals, you may be tempted to back that outcome this time around at 3.4 (12/5) with Coral.
