Saturday afternoon’s Premier League game from the Hawthorns sees West Bromwich Albion take on league leaders Manchester City.

The hosts haven’t won in the league since securing back-to-back victories in their opening two games of the campaign and that seven game winless run sees them sit just two points above the bottom three.

However, an unlikely win here would see them move into the top half though it is over nine years since the Baggies won a league clash with the Citizens who have triumphed in each of the last twelve meetings.

Craig Dawson and James Morrison are both unavailable while captain Jonny Evans is a doubt though Hal Robson Kanu, Olivier Burke and Gareth Barry could all feature.

Jay Rodriguez is 15.0 (14/1) to get the first goal of the game with Sky Bet, with Solomon Rondon available at the same price with Bet 365.

The hosts are widely available at 13.0 (12/1) for the win with the visitors firm favourites at 1.29 (2/7) with Betfred. The draw can be backed at 6.25 (21/4) with Sporting Bet.

Pep Guardiola’s men really are going from strength to strength in the league after extending their unbeaten start to nine games with victory over Burnley last Saturday though they needed penalties to get past Championship pacesetters Wolverhampton Wanderers in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.

Having made nine chanages midweek, City are expected to recall the likes of Ederson, Nicolas Otamendi and Kevin De Bruyne though Ilkay Gundogan is a doubt and Benjamin Mendy and Vincent Kompany are both out.

Sergio Aguero is favourite to open the scoring at 3/6 (13/5) with several firms ahead of Gabriel Jesus who can be backed at 3.9 (29/10) with Sporting Bet.

The Citizens have netted thirty-two league goals so far this season – a record which is only bettered by the total they themselves achieved in the 2011/12 campaign while they have netted at least three times in all but one of their last six outings.

With this in mind you may be tempted to back them to get three or more this time around at 2.05 (21/20) with Coral.
