Tottenham vs QPRFollowing hard-fought away wins over West Ham and AEL Limassol, Tottenham return to White Hart Lane to host local rivals QPR.

Rangers lost to Hull City on their return to the Premiership and no doubt they will be hoping to show some improvement in North London.

Having been pretty disappointing the previous season, Tottenham were expected to spend heavily in the summer transfer window, but new boss Mauricio Pochettino rather decided to hand a second chance to some rather expensive signings from the previous summer.

Looking at the current squad, Spurs do seem to have enough quality as well as strength in depth for another demanding campaign and the first signs have been more than positive.

Even with a host of players missing the end of pre-season training and start of the new season, Tottenham managed to get off to a winning start, coming back from a difficult position to defeat West Ham at Boleyn Ground.

Spurs then showed a lot of character to recover from a goal down in Cyprus and come close to Europa League group stages, so no wonder they are 1.50 (1/2) to make it three in a row.

With Kyle Naughton suspended and Kyle Walker still sidelined, Eric Dier is expected to start on the right flank after impressing on his debut.

The likes of Paulinho, Dembele, Vertonghen and Chadli have returned to the side, but Vlad Chiriches remains on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Lloris – Dier, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose – Capoue, Bentaleb – Eriksen, Lamela, Holtby – Adebayor.

Even if they were completely outclassed in the Championship play-off final, QPR somehow managed to return to the Premiership, and they seem to have done a very good job in the summer transfer window.

Rio Ferdinand and Steven Caulker seem like a perfect defensive partnership, whilst the likes of Mutch, Isla, Fer and Vargas should also have an important role to play this season.

However, even with wantaway striker Loic Remy in the side, Rangers were unable to get anything from the opening fixture against Hull City, with Charlie Austin missing a penalty late in the game.

Harry Redknapp’s side could now face a tough task on his return to White Hart Lane, with away win paying 8.00 (7/1).

The good news is that summer signings Mauricio Isla and Leroy Fer are available, but Eduardo Vargas is still awaiting a work permit.

This means we will probably see just one change to the side that lost to Hull City, with Isla coming in for Danny Simpson.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Green – Caulker, Ferdinand, Dunne – Isla, Faurlin, Barton, Traore – Mutch – Remy, Austin.
