Media reports in England are suggesting that Tottenham are ready to launch an assault on Roma starlet Erik Lamela.
Spurs have made the Argentine their number one target to replace Real Madrid-bound Gareth Bale, but they plan to make a move even if the Welshman’s move to Santiago Bernabeu falls through.
Tottenham sporting director Franco Baldini, a former Roma oficial, has already been in talks with his replacement at Stadio Olimpico, Walter Sabatini with a view of luring Lamela to White Hart Lane.
At the moment, the Giallorossi are not keen on selling their most prized asset, but it is believed they would not be able to resist a big money offer from London.
