Diego Costa SpainChelsea captain John Terry has moved to suggest that star striker Diego Costa is in very good shape at the moment.

Jose Mourinho recently revealed that the Brazilian-born forward was virtually doing no training due to his hamstring injury, but the fact Costa was able to start three games in eight days suggested that the player’s problem is no longer too serious.

After scoring the second goal in the 2-0 triumph over Arsenal, the 26-year-old has flown to join Spain squad, and his club teammate John Terry has hinted Costa is ready to star for La Furia Roja.

“I’m not sure where that’s (hamstring issue) coming from. He certainly isn’t showing that against me in training,” Terry said.

“He is training every day, he looks sharp, he looks angry, he looks aggressive. He’s fit at the moment and that’s the main thing.”

Following the 5-1 triumph over FYR Macedonia, Spain face Slovakia away on Thursday and they are 1.44 (4/9) to claim maximum points.

And having failed to impress at the 2014 World Cup, Diego Costa will be eager to make amends with a strong performance in Zilina.
