Saturday’s Premier League action concludes at the Stadium of Light where Sunderland host league leaders Chelsea.

Gus Poyet’s men have bounced back from their defeats to Southampton and Arsenal by piecing together a three match unbeaten run, collecting five points from the last nine available.

They currently sit in fourteenth place, and victory here could see them move up to eleventh place though defeat could see them fall into the relegation zone if other results go against them.

Midfielder Ricky Alvarez could make his first appearance since September after recovering from a knee injury and Sebastien Coates is set to return following a calf problem though Emanuele Giaccherini, Billy Jones and Patrick van Aarnholt are all side-lined.

Steven Fletcher is priced as 13.0 (12/1) to score the first goal of the game with Bet 365, with Jozy Altidore a 17.0 (16/1) shot with the same firm.

The Black Cats are as highly priced as the 10.0 (9/1) on offer from Bet 365, who price the draw at 5.25 (17/4) with Chelsea odds on favourites at a widely available 1.4 (2/5).

Jose Mourinho’s men extended their lead at the top to six points after beating West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last weekend – a result which they followed with an impressive 5-0 win at Schalke in the Champions League.

They are now unbeaten in fifteen league games, with their last defeat coming to Sunderland at Stamford Bridge back in April – a result with ended Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten home record.

Top scorer Diego Costa is fit despite being substituted midweek, though Nathan Ake is still out with a hamstring injury.

Costa is favourite to net first at 4.0 (3/1) with Bet Victor, while Cesc Fabregas can be backed at 10.0 (9/1) to net first with Ladbrokes.

Both teams have scored in seven of the last eight meetings between the sides, and Bet Victor offer 2.15 (23/20) for them to do so this time around though given the form of the visitors, you may prefer to back Coral’s offer of 3.5 (5/2) for an away victory with both teams getting on the score-sheet.
