Liverpool Football Club have revealed that star forward Daniel Sturridge could miss the weekend’s Premier League game against Norwich.
The highly rated footballer had to leave the pitch midway through the second half of the Manchester City clash through a hamstring injury.
And the club have now revealed that he has suffered a minor strain, which makes him an injury doubt for Sunday’s trip to Carrow Road.
“Sturridge has since undergone further assessment with the club’s medical team at Melwood and a small strain was detected following a scan,” a statement read on club’s official website.
After enjoying an impressive triumph over Manchester City last weekend, the Reds have been handed another boost in the title chase as the Citizens failed to win the rearranged game against Sunderland.
As a result, Liverpool have been made 1.57 (4/7) favourites to lift the Premier League title, which would see them end a 24-year wait for a league trophy.
