Joe AllenStoke City have emerged as favourites to sign Welsh midfielder Joe Allen from Liverpool, according to BBC Sport.

The 26-year-old is widely expected to leave Anfield this summer, and he will have no shortage of offers following some outstanding performances at the Euros.

BBC Sport has now learned that Stoke City have submitted a £13 million bid for the highly rated footballer, and chances are the Reds will seriously consider said offer, especially seeing that Allen has just another year left on his deal.

Despite holding the midfielder in high regard, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is ready to let him leave, and unless his former club Swansea match Stoke’s offer, Allen will probably be moving to the Britannia Stadium.

The highly rated footballer only started eight games for the Reds last term, but he was named in the Euro 2016 team of the tournament this summer.

With the Potters also offering £20 million for West Brom hotshot Saido Berahino, they clearly have big ambitions for the next season, and this is probably the right time to back them for a top 10 finish at 3.00 (2/1).
