This weekend’s Premier League action kicks off at St Mary’s Stadium where Southampton face Tottenham Hotspur, with both sides still in the hunt for a European qualification spot.

The hosts go into the game in seventh place, a point behind both Spurs in sixth and Liverpool in fifth, though the Reds have played a game less.

Ronald Koeman’s side have won two and lost two of their previous four games, and go in to the game on the back of last weekend’s loss at Stoke City.

Toby Alderweireld is set to be fit enough to feature despite picking up a shoulder injury at the Britannia Stadium, though Fraser Foster, Filip Djuricic and Jay Rodriguez remain side-lined and Victor Wanyama is suspended.
Graziano Pelle is priced at 7.0 (6/1) to open the scoring with Bet Victor, while Shane Long can be backed at 9.0 (8/1) with Stan James.

The home win can be backed at 2.15 (23/20) with William Hill, with the visitors favourites at 4.0 (3/1) with Bet Victor, who have the draw at 3.5 (5/2).

Mauricio Pochettino’s side ended a two game winless streak with victory at Newcastle United last weekend, and sit below Liverpool by virtue of goal difference.

Victory here would put them four points behind champions Manchester City, who occupy the final Champions League qualification place and play Aston Villa later in the day while the top three all play on Sunday.

Captain Hugo Lloris will be assessed ahead of the game and Kyle Walker is set to miss the rest of the season with a foot injury though the rest of the squad are available for selection.

Top scorer Harry Kane is favourite to get the first goal of the game at the widely available price of 6.5 (11/2), with Christian Eriksen an 11.0 (10/1) chance with Bet 365.

A goal from Eriksen was enough to separate the sides when they met at White Hart Lane back in October – the North London outfit’s fifth straight victory over the South Coast side.

Three of those ties saw both sides score in the game, and the away win not to nil here can be backed at 7.5 (13/2) with a number of firms.
