Monday night’s Premier League action comes from St. Mary’s Stadium where Southampton take on Brighton and Hove Albion.

The hosts go into the game on the back of their first league win of the season having beaten Crystal Palace by two goals to nil last time out.

Victory here will see them move into the top half, though the same can be said for their opponents who sit just below them in the table on goal difference.

Manager Mark Hughes could be without forward duo Charlie Austin and Shane Long, who are struggling with respective hamstring and toe issues though Danny Ings should be available for selection having overcome the blister problem that he was nursing during the international break.

Ings, who has two goals in his last three league outings is 5.25 (21/5) to open the scoring with Unibet with James Ward-Prowse a 13.0 (12/1) chance with Betfred.

The home win is widely available at 2.05 (21/20) with the visitors as highly priced as the 4.2 (16/5) on over from some firms. The draw can be backed at 3.4 (12/5) with Betfair.

The Seagulls came from two goals down to salvage a point at home to Fulham a fortnight ago with Glenn Murray grabbing his third Premier League brace.

Pascal Gross faces a late fitness test ahead of the game though Joze Izquierdo and summer signing Florin Andone could feature.

Murray is 7.0 (6/1) to get the first goal of the game with Anthony Knockaert a 15.0 (14/1) chance with most bookmakers.

These two sides met just three weeks ago, with Charile Austin’s late strike the only goal of the game as the Saints booked their place in the third round of the EFL Cup at the Amex Stadium.

Last season’s corresponding fixture took place in January and finished 1-1 as did the reverse three months earlier and you can back both teams to score this time around at 2.1 (11/10) with Betfair.

Both of those fixtures saw a goal in both halves, so you may be tempted to bet on that happening this time around at 1.8 (4/5) with Sky Bet.
