Premier League Trophy

With less than two weeks until the 2015/16 season kicks off, it is Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers who is the favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave his post.

The Reds manager has brought in a number of new faces as he looks for an improvement of last season’s sixth place finish and get the Merseyside outfit back into the Champions League qualification places.

Sky Bet offer 4.5 (7/2) for the former Swansea City boss to lose his job before any other in the division, just ahead of 7.0 (6/1) chance Quique Flores, who replaced Slavisa Jokanovic at Watford just last month.

The Hornets are the favourites to be relegated straight back to the Championship and with the stakes so high a poor start could heap the pressure on the Spaniard in his first job in English football.

Sunderland’s Dick Advocat, who got the Black Cats out of trouble after taking over for the final two months of last season, is third favourite to go at a price of 10.0 (9/1) with Ladbrokes while next up is Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini.

After guiding the Citizens to the league title in his first season in charge, the sixty-one year old only managed to guide them to second place last season, with the club finishing no less than eight points behind champions Chelsea.

A slow opening few months in both the league and the Champions League could well see the former Real Madrid boss be cast aside, not least with ex-Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp potentially waiting in the wings.

Ladbrokes offer 11.0 (10/1) for Pellegrini to be the first manager to leave his post, while the same price is on offer from Bet Victor for Tim Sherwood.

Sherwood replaced Paul Lambert in February, guiding them to both Premier League safety and the FA Cup final.

Other names in the running are new West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic, who is a 13.0 (12/1) shot with Paddy Power and Claudio Ranieri, who has just taken the reins at Leicester City is on offer at 15.0 (14/1) with 888 Sport.
