Race hots up for Croatia playmaker

BrozovicHost of the Premier League clubs have beel linked with a move for Inter Milan and Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports.

The 23-year-old midfielder was considered one of Croatia’s hottest stars during his time at Dinamo Zagreb. His fantastic performances have earned him an 18-month loan move to Serie A giants Inter in 2015, allowing Inter to make a deal permanent this summer.

However, Brozovic’s displays have alarmed a number of interested clubs with several Premier League names believed to be highly interested in making a move for the Croatian star.

Arsenal has been one of the clubs linked with a summer move for the 23-year-old, but according to Tutto Mercato Web, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are in the race to sing Inter Milan playmaker.

Chelsea have been one of the last clubs to join the chase as Antonio Conte is believed to be a huge admirer of the Croatian footballer, the player is torn about his future and is yet to decide on the final decision as to whether he will leave Inter Milan.

Brozovic’s agent Miroslav BIcancic claims Inter Milan playmaker is keen to play in the Champions League, but adds that Brozovic likes Inter as a club and that he enjoys living in Milano.

“Marcelo is torn on the issue”, Bicancic told Sky Italia.

Marcelo Brozovic has scored seven goals and managed five assists for Roberto Mancini’s team in all competitions this season and has been one of the most prominent players for the Italian side.

The Croatia midfielder loos set to enjoy an important role in his national team this summer as Croatia prepares to fight for glory at the 2016 European Championship finals in France.
