Sunday’s Premier League action kicks off at Loftus Road as bottom of the table Queens Park Rangers face last season’s runners-up Liverpool.

Harry Redknapp’s side have taken just four points from their opening seven matches with their only win coming at home to Sunderland back in August.

They go into this game on the back their 2-0 defeat at West Ham United two weeks ago, a result which left them two points from safety at this early juncture, and that gap could well have widened depending on Saturday’s results.

The hosts remain without midfield duo Jordan Mutch and Joey Barton, though Nico Kranjcar could play despite breaking a toe in training.

Charlie Austin is widely available at 9.0 (8/1) to get the first goal of the game, with Bobby Zamora an 11.0 (10/1) chance with a number of firms.

The home win is as highly priced as the 6.0 (5/1) in offer from several bookmakers, with the visitors odds on favourites at 1.67 (4/6) with Bet 365 who price the draw at 4.2 (16/5).

Brendan Rodgers’ men ended a three game winless run in the league with a 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion last time out to see them climb back into the top half of the table and move to within a point of the top four.

Daniel Sturridge has been ruled out for another month after picking up a calf injury in training, though Dejan Lovren, Joe Allen and Emre Can are all available for selection.

Mario Balotelli is favourite to open the scoring at 6.0 (5/1) with Coral with Raheem Sterling, who spent the majority of his youth career with the Hoops, a 7.5 (13/2) shot with Betfair.

Liverpool won both games against QPR without conceding in the 2012/13 campaign, and you can back that outcome this time around at 3.0 (2/1) with Bet Victor.

Alternatively, as six of the Reds’ last ten wins over Rangers have been by a single goal to nil, you may be tempted to take advantage of the widely available offer of 8.5 (15/2) for a 1-0 away win.
