QPR vs TottenhamQPR boss Harry Redknapp will see this as a perfect opportunity to get revenge on Tottenham for getting the sack at the end of last season, and at the same time help his current side boost their survival hopes.

Spurs are flying high at the moment, having won last three Premier League fixtures and they will fancy their chances of extending that run at Loftus Road.

Even if Mark Hughes hadn’t done a lot of wrong since taking over the reigns at QPR, the decision to replace him with Harry Redknapp was clearly spot on.

The experienced manager quickly got the team playing to their potential, and even though he needed some time to complete the transition, the Rs are now effectively back in the survival fight.

Three straight defeats in December threatened to ruin all the hard work, but QPR players showed a lot of character to triumph at Stamford Bridge and close the gap behind safety to five points.

Rangers are now no less than 4.50 (7/2) with bet365 to make it two wins in a row, while Stan James has them at 2.88 (17/9) to survive this season.

Esteban Granero and Junior Hoilett are both doubtful with a hamstring injury, but Samba Diakite should be in contention before he jets off to Africa Cup of Nations.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-2-1): Cesar – Onuoha, Nelsen, Hill, Fabio – Granero, M’Bia, Derry – Wright-Phillips, Taarabt – Mackie.

Tottenham needed some time to hit the ground running under Andre Villas-Boas, with numerous selection problems not helping team’s cause, but Spurs are now effectively back on track.

The White Hart Lane outfit climbed to third in the standings after winning 7 of last 9 league fixtures, so it is safe to say Spurs are on top of their game at the moment.

With Scott Parker, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Gareth Bale all back after a spell on the sidelines, Andre Villas-Boas should have more than enough options to keep the good run going and make sure his team remain in the Champions League places.

Having extended their winning run to four games by beating Coventry in the FA Cup, Tottenham are 1.85 (17/20) with Betfair to make it five on the bounce.

After netting no less than 12 times in last four matches, Spurs are 1.83 (5/6) with Stan James to score at least two goals at Loftus Road.

Emmanuel Adebayor will play his final game before he joins Togo squad for Africa Cup of Nations, but William Gallas remains sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Lloris – Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Naughton – Lennon, Sandro, Dembele, Bale – Defoe, Adebayor.
