MarquinhosHe has long been linked with an exit from Paris Saint-Germain and it appears that Marquinhos’ tenure at Parc des Princes is coming to an end this summer.

The 22-year-old Brazilian centre-back is eager to leave Paris during the summer transfer window and has already alarmed host of European clubs all interested to sign him up for the next season.

Marquinhos has been a target for Spanish champions Barcelona for quite some time and Catalan giants are understood to be his preferred location as he would be surrounded with plenty of familiar faces at Nou Camp considering that there are four Brazilians currently plying their trade at Barca.

However, it has been suggested that the talented 22-year-old would be open for a move to the Premier League should he failed to make a deal with Barcelona and Brazilian media outlet UOL Esporte have learned that four different clubs, including two from England have already made contacts with the defender.

Namely, Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly keen to engage themselves in the tug of war to sign the highly rated defender during summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are unwilling to let their prized asset for less than what they paid for him in 2013 however and will be looking to recoup a £38.6 million fee they splashed to AS Roma.

French champions are also eager to convince their defender to stay at the club as they regard him as a replacement for Thiago Silva, but Marquinhos is keen to become a first-choice defender elsewhere considering he has only started 20 Ligue 1 matches for PSG this season.

Marquinhos is currently away with the Brazil National team preparing for the Copa America Centenario in the United States.

Brazil are looking at the odds of 5.5 (9/2) @Bet365 to be crowned champions at the South American championship and to lift the coveted prize that would help them finally get over the 2014 World Cup disappointment.
