With just four weeks until the start of the new Premier League season, it is West Bromwich Albion’s newly appointed manager Alan Irvine who is the most likely to be the next to leave his post in the eyes of the bookmakers.

He is priced at 5.0 (4/1) across the board to be the first to move on from what is only his third managerial position having previously been in the hot-seat at both Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday.

With the Baggies facing two sides who finished in the bottom half of the division last season – Sunderland and Swansea City – either side of a trip to a Southampton side who have already lost a number of their key players, a positive start is vital and should the fail to pick up a win in any of those fixtures, Irvine’s odds for dismissal will be sure to plummet.

Next in the market is Harry Redknapp of Queens Park Rangers, who needed the play-offs to guide his costly squad back into the top-flight last season.

The 67 year old, whose side hosts Hull City on the opening day before travelling to former club Tottenham Hotspur the following weekend, is priced at 7.0 (6/1) with Sky Bet to be given the chop before any of his counterparts while the same firm are offering 8.0 (7/1) for Alan Pardew of Newcastle United.

The North East club ended the previous campaign with just two wins in their final ten games, and their first test of the new season comes against champions Manchester City at St James’ Park.

Aston Villa’s Paul Lambert is priced at 8.0 (7/1) with 888 Sport, having just got the Midlands club over the line in each of his previous two seasons in charge at Villa Park while Sam Allardyce, whose head was being called for by many of the West Ham United faithful last season, is a 9.0 (8/1) shot with Sky Bet.

Swansea City’s Garry Monk is priced at 15.0 (14/1) with Paddy Power while Southampton’s new boss Ronald Koeman, who has the unenviable task of replacing Mauricio Pochettino without a number of the club’s star players from last season, can be backed at 19.0 (18/1) with Sky Bet.
