Diafra SakhoLeicester City defender Jeffrey Schlupp and West Ham forward Diafra Sakho have been forced to withdraw from Africa Cup of Nations due to injury.

The 22-year-old full-back was left out of the final Ghana squad for the 2015 AFCON tournament as he battles a knee injury and is not expected back for another three weeks.

Trabzonspor attacker Majeed Waris was another high-profile players to miss out through injury, while Samuel Inkoom has been overlooked.

Meanwhile, Senegal will have to make do without their star player Diafra Sakho, who has exacerbated his back problem.

Sakho started for West Ham against West Bromwich, but was forced to withdraw after scoring the only goal for the Hammers.

“Sakho is not on the list of 23 players, his back problem is even preventing him from moving,” Senegal coach Alain Giresse announced.

The two sides are among the favourites for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations title, with Ghana priced at 10.00 (9/1) and Senegal available at 17.00 (16/1).
