Newcastle vs EvertonNewcastle United will be desperate to end a three-match losing run when they host struggling Everton at St James’ Park on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Toffees slipped to 12th after yet another home defeat and they need to try and make amends for the poor run of form with a good result at Newcastle.

Injury curse struck at St James’ Park at the worst possible time given that the Magpies were on a high after recovering from a disappointing start to the season.

With their squad stripped to bare bones, Newcastle were unable to cope with the busy schedule, losing four straight matches in all competitions.

The difficult fixture list did not help either, but with home games against Everton and Burnley next, Alan Pardew and his men will be eager to finally arrest their latest downtrend.

This seems like the right time to be facing out-of-sorts Toffees, so bear in mind that home win pays 3.00 (2/1) with BetVictor.

Alan Pardew will welcome back key midfielder Cheick Tiote from suspension, while Papiss Cisse, Remy Cabella and Mike Williamson could start.

The likes of Mehdi Abeid, Rolando Aarons, Siem de Jong, Ryan Taylor, Tim Krul, Davide Santon and Rob Elliot are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Alnwick – Janmaat, Williamson, Coloccini, Dummet – Tiote, Colback – Gouffran, Sissoko, Cabella – Cisse.

This season is proving a real nightmare for Everton, with the Toffees finding it increasingly difficult to live up to the pre-season predictions.

Club’s first European campaign after a while could be the reason for some disappointing performances in the Premiership, but, one way or another, Roberto Martinez needs to find a solution fast.

Everton have now lost four of last five matches on all fronts, with Friday’s home defeat to Stoke seeing them slip to 12th in the overall standings.

The Toffees desperately need to get something from this match if they are to turn their season around and they are 2.60 (8/5) to claim maximum points.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Tim Howard and Phil Jagielka are almost certain to miss the Newcastle clash through injury.

Meanwhile, Steven Naismith is banned, but Kevin Mirallas, Ross Barkley and John Stones should be fit to play.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Joel – Coleman, Alzaraz, Stones, Baines – McCarthy, Barry – Eto’o, Barkley, McGeady – Lukaku.
