Petr CechChelsea manager Jose Mourinho is hoping veteran keeper Petr Cech will remain at Stamford Bridge beyond the current summer.

The Portuguese coach ultimately decided to make Thibaut Courtois his number one, leaving the Czech visibly disappointed.

And despite only breaking the news to the player ahead of the Burnley game, Mourinho believes Cech will decide to stay at Stamford Bridge.

“I hope Petr doesn’t want to go and I hope he doesn’t have offers to go and, if he does have offers, he refuses to go,” said Mourinho after the game.

“I’d be delighted to have two of the best keepers in the world in my squad. Petr was disappointed but football is sometimes like this, players can often be unhappy and be unhappy with managers.”

It remains to be seen whether the 32-year-old will be looking for a new club in the coming days, but he is 1.35 (7/20) to remain at Chelsea after the summer transfer window ends.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are priced at 3.50 (5/2) and 6.00 (5/1) to sign the experienced shot-stopper this summer.
