Saturday’s game at Old Trafford sees Manchester United host a West Ham United sit sitting two points and four places above them in the table.

Louis van Gaal’s men have taken just five points so far this season, drawing two and losing two of their five league games so far – the latest of those defeats coming in catastrophic fashion against newly promoted Leicester City last weekend.

The thirteen times Premier League championships twice surrendered a two goal lead to eventually lost 5-3 to the Foxes – a result which left them in twelfth place, eight points behind leaders Chelsea.

Van Gaal has Marcos Rojo as his only fit centre-back as Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans are all injured and Tyler Blackett is suspended following his red card at the King Power Stadium.

Youngsters Tom Thorpe and Paddy McNair are both battling to make their debut in the heart of United’s defence, while new signing Luke Shaw is also set to be drafted in for his first appearance for the club.

Robin van Persie is 5.0 (4/1) to get the first goal of the game with Bet 365, with Radamel Falcao a 4.33 (10/3) shot with the same bookmakers.

The home win is 1.4 (2/5) with most firms, with the visitors widely available at 8.0 (7/1). The draw is a 5.5 (9/2) chance with Bet 365.

The Hammers won for the second time in the league last weekend, upsetting the odds to beat Liverpool 3-1 at Upton Park.

Cheikhou Kouyate has been ruled out for six weeks with a groin injury, while fellow midfielders Kevin Nolan and Matt Jarvis will also not feature despite returning to training.

Enner Valencia can be backed to open the scoring at 11.0 (10/1) with a variety of firms, with Diafra Sakho a 12.0 (11/1) shot with Bet 365.

United won both meetings between the sides last season by a two goal margin, triumphing 2-0 in East London back in March and winning 3-1 at Old Trafford three months earlier.

You make be tempted to back a home win by two goals at 4.33 (10/3) with Bet 365, while William Hill offer a price of 2.2 (6/5) for there to be at least four scored in total.
