Man City v West HamOut-of-sorts Manchester City desperately need to end the barren run of results when they host West Ham United or else their Champions League qualification will be in danger.

The Hammers don’t exactly have much to play for at the moment, but they will want to finish the campaign as high as possible in the overall standings.

Manchester City’s season has been going from bad to worse for a while now, and it is already clear that pre-season targets will not be matched.

But, while the Citizens are out of contention for any of the major trophies, they still need to try and secure a top 4 finish in the Premier League in the final six rounds.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side currently boast a four-point advantage over fifth-placed Liverpool, but they are completely out of form and out of confidence.

The 4-2 loss to local rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford was team’s sixth in last eight matches on all fronts, so no doubt this is a major cause for concern.

It remains to be seen whether City can finally return to winning ways on Sunday, but odds of 1.29 (2/7) offered on home win are not that tempting.

Captain Vincent Kompany is likely to miss the season finale through a thigh problem, while James Milner, Stevan Jovetic, Wilfried Bony and Gael Clichy are unavailable as well.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Hart – Zabaleta, Mangala, Demichelis, Kolarov – Toure, Fernandinho – Navas, Nasri, Silva – Aguero.

West Ham enjoyed another impressing start to the season under Sam Allardyce, but the Hammers just couldn’t keep the rich vein of form for too long.

Team’s performances dropped considerably in the second part of the campaign and the Boleyn Ground outfit are now in danger of missing out on a top 10 finish altogether.

In all fairness, Sam Allardyce didn’t have such a big squad to begin with, so nobody was surprised to see the Hammers struggle when injuries and suspensions started kicking in.

West Ham have now won just one of last eleven fixtures in all competitions, while they are winless in last six on the road.

And having failed to score in four of those matches, there may be value in backing Manchester City to keep a clean sheet at 2.00 (1/1).

Diafra Sakho is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up a thigh strain, but Enner Valencia should be fit to feature.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2 diamond): Adrian – Jenkinson, Collins, Reid, Cresswell – Noble, Song, Kouyatte, Downing – Valencia, Cole.
