Wednesday evening’s Premier League action from the Etihad Stadium sees league leaders Manchester City take on bottom-of-the-table West Bromwich Albion.

The hosts go in to the game twelve points clear of second place Manchester United and well in the running for all four competitions they are part of.

Since beating Newcastle United last time out in the league they have booked their place in the EFL Cup final and in the fifth round of the FA Cup having knocked out Bristol City and Cardiff City respectively.

New signing Aymeric Laporte could be involved should his deal be registered in time though Gabriel Jesus, Benjamin Mendy and Fabian Delph are all sidelined.

Sergio Aguero is favourite to open the scoring at 3.5 (5/2) with a number of firms, while Raheem Sterling can be backed at 4.6 (18/5) with Unibet.

The home win is 1.17 (1/6) with the visitors as highly priced as the 23.0 (22/1) on offer from Betfair who have the draw at 9.5 (17/2).

Alan Pardew’s side have lost just one of their last five league games culminating in a 1-1 draw with Everton last time out in the league though Swansea City’s surprise win over Arsenal on Tuesday evening has seen the slip to the bottom of the division.

However, an unlikely triumph here could see them climb out of the relegation zone depending on results elsewhere.

Daniel Sturridge could make his debut having joined on loan from Liverpool though fellow new arrival Ali Gabr is unlikely to feature.

Hal Robson-Kanu and Jonny Evans will both have their fitness assessed ahead of kick-off, with the latter potentially set to be the subject of last minute transfer speculation with the deadline set for 23:00.

Salomon Rondon is widely available at 13.0 (12/1) to get the first goal of the game, with Sturridge a 17.0 (16/1) chance with Sky Bet.

City narrowly beat Albion when the sides met at the Hawthorns back in October, as they did a month previously in the EFL Cup.

In fact the table toppers have won not to nil in each of their last three meetings with the Midlands outfit so you may be tempted to back that outcome this time around at a price of 2.9 (19/10) with some firms.
