Saturday’s Premier League action concludes at the home of the Champions, where Manchester City face Newcastle United.

The hosts go in to the weekend in second place, seven points behind Chelsea, and that deficit could be increased ahead of kick-off as the league leaders host relegation threatened Burnley earlier in the day.

Their defeat to Arsenal last month was City’s only loss in their last sixteen league games, though their win at Stoke City last time out was their first in five.

Manuel Pellegrini has no injury concerns, but could finally hand £28m signing Wilfried Bony his debut.

The former Swansea City man, who has already netted nine Premier League goals to his name this season, is 4.5 (7/2) to open the scoring with Bet 365, with Sergio Aguero favourite at a best price of 4.33 (10/3) with Coral.

The home win is widely available at 1.33 (3/10), with the visitors as highly priced as the 13.0 (12/1) on offer from Bet Victor, who have the draw at 6.0 (5/1).

John Carver’s men currently sit in eleventh place with thirty-two points, and victory here coupled with the right results elsewhere could see them move into the top half of the table.

They go in to the game on the back of back to back 1-1 league draws, with the second of those coming against a Crystal Palace side managed by ex-Magpies boss Alan Pardew.

Unlike his opposite number, Carver has a number of players on the side-lines including goalkeeper Rob Elliot, defenders Steven Taylor and Paul Dummet, and midfielders Roland Aarons, Siem De Jong, Remy Cabella, Sammy Ameobi and Cheick Tiote.

Papiss Cisse is 15.0 (14/1) to get the first goal of the game with Betfair, while Ayoze Perez is available at the same price with the same firm.

The sides have met twice already this season, with both games ending in 2-0 wins to the away team.

Newcastle were victorious when the sides met at the Etihad Stadium in the League Cup in October while it was the Manchester outfit who took the spoils at St James’ Park on the opening weekend of the season.

In fact, only one side has scored in each of the last six meetings so you may be tempted to back both teams not to score at 1.83 (5/6) with Sky Bet.
