Sunday afternoon’s match at the Etihad Stadium sees Manchester City face fierce rivals Manchester United.

The hosts go in to the game following back-to-back goalless draws having been held by Norwich City last weekend before drawing a blank against Dynamo Kiev in the second leg of their Champions League last sixteen tie though thankfully for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, the work was done in the first leg.

They have won just one of their last five games in the league and could be outside of the top four come kick off, depending on West Ham United’s result at Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

Captain Vincent Kompany will miss out for the Citizens following a recurrence of a calf injury while fellow defender Nicolas Otamendi is doubtful.

Sergio Aguero is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 5.0 (4/1) with Paddy Power, with Raheem Sterling an 8.0 (7/1) chance with a variety of firms.

The home win is widely available at 1.85 (17/20) with the visitors as highly priced as the 4.75 (15/4) on offer from Bet 365 who have the draw at 3.75 (11/4).

Louis van Gaal’s side lost to West Bromwich Albion last time out in the league while they have since drew with West Ham United in the fifth round of the FA Cup and been eliminated by Liverpool in the Europa League.

They began the weekend four points behind their neighbours, and defeat here could all but end their hopes of finishing in the top four.

Ander Herrera is set to miss the game with the groin injury that kept him out of Thursday’s draw in Europe though Ashley Young and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson are both back in training and could feature.

Anthony Martial is 9.0 (8/1) to open the scoring with several bookmakers with Marcus Rashford a 9.5 (19/2) chance with Bet 365.

The sides played out a goalless draw at Old Trafford back in October, and you can back under 1.5 goals this time around at a price of 3.7 (27/10) with Betfair.
